About the Role

The Human Resources Advisor will partner with key stakeholders and managers to deliver generalist HR advice, support, and services to the Thiess Group. This role will see you providing expertise in conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, disputes, and investigations. You will also support the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective people strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, training, coaching, and support to site operational teams in relation to the entire employee lifecycle, including remuneration, employee engagement, policies, procedures, learning and development, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Support the wider HR team in the delivery of all aspects of HR and IR activities for the Thiess Group.
  • Develop and implement effective people strategies and initiatives to drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a values-based approach to HR at the Thiess Group.
  • Support and collaborate on community, diversity, and inclusion initiatives for the Thiess Group.

About You

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Human resources experience in a mining or heavy industry environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including an advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office package.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong professional relationships quickly and use influence positively.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow as an HR professional.
