About the Role
We are seeking a Payroll Officer and Accounts professional to join our outcome-driven finance team. This opportunity allows someone to have an immediate impact in a values-led environment and contribute to the company's success.
Responsibilities:
- Payroll Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory requirements, including taxation, superannuation, and industrial awards.
- Implement and maintain payroll system improvements to streamline processes.
- Prepare payroll-related data for site budgeting, forecasting labor costs, managing payroll expenses, and reporting on payroll costs versus budget.
- Ensure payroll operations meet audit requirements and prepare payroll reports, metrics, and KPIs for internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
- Process 600-900 invoices per month with high accuracy.
- Assist with AP administration email accounts.
- Serve as a point of contact for suppliers, resolving queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in addressing and rectifying disputes with suppliers.
- Handle onboarding of new suppliers.
- Regularly perform supplier statement reconciliations to ensure account accuracy.
- Process employee expense claims and assist with related administrative tasks.
- Execute and manage payments runs as required.
Qualifications and Experience Required
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience managing payroll and Accounts Payable.
- Minimum of 2-3 years in Payroll management.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
- Strong competency in Payroll software, experience with Pulse Mining systems would be preferred.
- Familiarity with local tax regulations is an asset.
