Urban Planning Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic employee to join our team as an Urban Planner. This role involves participating in a broad range of land use planning activities, with a key focus on the assessment of development and subdivision applications.

This is a great opportunity to increase your urban planning knowledge within a supportive team environment. As an Urban Planner, you will have the chance to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in negotiation, decision-making, analysis, and research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment of Development Applications: You will be responsible for assessing development applications, ensuring that they comply with relevant planning legislation and documents.
  • Land Use Planning Activities: You will participate in a broad range of land use planning activities, including the assessment of subdivision applications and subdivision clearances.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary Qualification: You must have completed a tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning (or closely related discipline).
  • Planning Legislation and Documents: You must have a high level of experience and ability to interpret planning legislation and documents, Local Laws, information sheets, policies, and procedures.
  • Negotiation and Decision-Making: You must have high levels of negotiation, decision-making, analytical, and research skills.
Benefits:
  • Salary: $85,864 - $100,038 per annum
  • Superannuation: Up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply)
  • Fixed Term Parental Leave Cover: Fixed term parental leave cover to a certain period
