- Salary: $85,864 - $100,038 per annum

An exciting opportunity is available to join the City of Joondalup Planning Approvals team as an Urban Planner. We are a friendly and fun team committed to facilitating high quality and environmentally sensitive development that will shape the City's future.

In this role you will participate in a broad range of land use planning activities with a key focus on the assessment of development and subdivision applications. This is a great opportunity to increase your urban planning knowledge within a supportive team environment.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, please submit your resume and a cover letter (maximum 3 pages each). Your covering letter will need to address the following key criteria:

- Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the preparation, assessment and processing of development applications, subdivision applications and subdivision clearances.
- High level of experience and ability to interpret planning legislation and documents, Local Laws, information sheets, policies and procedures.
- High level of negotiation, decision making, analytical and research skills.

The successful candidate should have completed a tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning (or closely related discipline).
