Job Title: Operations Excellence Manager

The role of the Operations Excellence Manager is to provide hands-on leadership in ensuring a safe, effective, and quality-driven work environment. This involves safety leadership, risk assessments and management, implementation of new initiatives and controls, as well as follow-up reporting.

  • Developing and implementing company policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and industry best practice standards.
  • Updating and maintaining internal management systems and safety registers, including recording information related to safety, environment, and quality processes.
  • Coordinating worker's compensation claim documentation and return to work rehabilitation plans.
  • Conducting incident investigations and preparing job procedures/SWMS as required.
  • Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2015 Standards, including conducting internal audits and assisting in third-party audits.
  • Developing and maintaining effective internal audit programs and conducting regular audits against relevant ISO standards.

You will require knowledge and understanding of the Work Health & Safety Act, Workers Compensation & Rehabilitation Act and associated Acts, Regulations, Standards and Codes of Practice. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is preferred, as well as demonstrated experience with auditing and risk assessments. You should also be a qualified 'Return to Work' Coordinator.
