About the Role

As a Technical Services Officer - Fleet Conversion Specialist, you will be responsible for setting and delivering technical standards across the Fleet Conversion Business network, promoting excellence in all aspects of vehicle conversion.

You will identify potential technical issues within the dealer network and implement strategies to address them, including visiting dealerships as necessary. Additionally, you will provide technical support to vehicle processing centres and assist with the training of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for new vehicles.

Your expertise will also involve providing qualified mechanical and electrical advice to internal and external customers on vehicle specifications, creating layout drawings using CAD software, and generating quotes for customers.

About You

  • A minimum of previous experience in Fleet Conversions environment in an automotive industry is required.
  • You hold relevant qualifications or experience in motor vehicle engineering.
  • Experience with CAD software/programs is essential.
  • You have exposure to ADR compliance rules and have worked in the vehicle aftermarket to emergency/mine spec/tool of trade fit outs.
  • A strong understanding of Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCad Drawing is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong presentation skills are desired but not mandatory.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to achieve the best result for the business.
  • You have highly developed analytical and negotiation skills in commercial contracts.
  • You can initiate, manage, and maintain internal and external commercial and customer relationships.
  • You have a strong focus on customer satisfaction and relationship building, with the ability to solve problems effectively.
  • You can devise innovative solutions to achieve financial returns to both the customer and the business.
  • You are a self-motivated team player with a 'Can Do' attitude.
