Senior Engineer Role

AusNet Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Asset Management Team in Southbank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our distribution network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise on strategies, line performance, and technical specifications
  • Contribute to the creation of equipment standards and maintenance of policies
  • Develop concepts, prepare business cases, and manage project documentation
  • Assist in implementing asset management and replacement initiatives
  • Review and evaluate the condition of installed cables and distribution line assets
  • Investigate equipment failures, draft reports, and make informed technical decisions
  • Ensure all documentation is current and up to date and participate in audits
  • Provide technical support for emergency response events as required

Requirements:

  • Relevant training or qualification in Engineering
  • Ensure safety in all engineering activities and decision-making processes
  • Knowledge of asset management practices, regulatory frameworks, and standards
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic asset management plans
  • Provide input on strategies, line performance, and technical specification
  • Strong ability to use data-driven insights for decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
