About the Role

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships with key customers, and identifying new business opportunities.

Your primary objective will be to ensure customer satisfaction and retention while driving business growth. You will achieve this by leveraging your exceptional account management skills, paired with a strategic approach to new business selling and pipeline generation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the strategic 'Growth Business Partner' to Nationwide's NSW/QLD State Manager, collaborating closely with all departments within the business.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with existing clients, regularly initiating and leading growth-driven commercial conversations.
  • Be the main point of contact for a selected portfolio of key customers, engaging proactively to address enquiries, resolve concerns, and provide timely support.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure satisfaction, retention, and organic growth of delighted customers within your portfolio.
  • Identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities, partnering with key internal departments and stakeholders to capitalise on them and achieve business growth.
About You
  • You have outstanding attention to detail and strong customer focus, with a high level of commercial acumen and understanding of B2B sales processes.
  • You are a BD all-rounder with willingness and capability both to 'farm' and 'hunt' business growth, possessing exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • You possess passion, energy, and determination to drive success both for Nationwide and our customers, with excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Level) and competent in CRM and project management software.
