Senior Contracts Administrator: Key Roles and Responsibilities

We're currently seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our Rail Infrastructure Services team in Seven Hills, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to work on iconic projects that are shaping cities and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft scopes of works and tender packages for subcontractors
- Conduct investigations to clarify contract conditions for prospective projects
- Manage the review process to ensure timely and budget-friendly award of subcontractors
- Maintain a register of subcontractors and minimize variation claims
- Operate commercial systems including Project Costs Reporting (PCR) and Commercial Pack database
- Ensure accurate cost forecasting and maintain project management teams informed of costs issues
- Interpret specifications and drawings to understand project scope
- Participate in identification and quantification of head contracts
- Manage subcontractors to maintain Code compliance
- Prepare variations, claims, or letters for head contract management
- Prepare forecast sheets and assist project teams with cost reviews
- Monthly progress claim reviews and submissions
- Assess commercial and contractual risks involved in delivery and implementation of projects
- Check compliance and prepare reporting on commercial performance of the contract
- Process and recommend progress claims for work completed
What You'll Need:
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, or equivalent
- Previous experience in a Senior Contracts Administrator role within the construction or engineering industry
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, and exposure to a contract management system
- Experience with various project values and complexity
- Understanding of document control procedures and relevant legislation/code
- Negotiation skills with sub-contractors
