We are currently looking for a Senior Associate Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to become a key member of our team.
The primary objective of this position is to lead and execute a wide array of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls solutions for our clients. You will effectively plan, manage, and deliver projects that align with client expectations, while also fostering internal and external relationships to build a robust project pipeline. Your proactive approach will contribute to the ongoing enhancement and evolution of the electrical I&C discipline within our Digital Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute designs for Electrical Control, Industrial Communications, and SCADA systems projects.
- Maintain technical engineering proficiency and engage in professional development, while also leading quality assurance initiatives.
- Establish and nurture business lines focused on delivering electrical instrumentation and controls engineering services, as well as broader Jacobs offerings.
- Mentor junior colleagues, facilitating their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and comprehensive knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls standards and design principles.
- Proficient in supervising and executing designs for Electrical Control, Industrial Communications, and SCADA systems projects.
- Experience in major infrastructure sectors such as Water, Power, Renewables, Rail, and Resources.
- Proven track record in leading teams in the development of EI&C designs.
- Experience in preparing proposals for complex infrastructure clients is advantageous.
- Ability to engage with both internal and external clients to cultivate a pipeline of opportunities and future projects.
- Experience with Sydney Water or the Power sector is a plus.
- Familiarity with Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) is desirable.
- Eligibility for Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Australia is preferred.
