We are looking for a Senior Associate Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to become a vital part of our team.

The primary objective of this position is to lead and deliver a wide array of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls solutions for our clients. You will effectively plan, manage, and execute projects to fulfill client needs, contribute to building the section's project pipeline by nurturing both internal and external client relationships, and provide technical expertise and leadership. Your proactive nature aligns perfectly with Jacobs' commitment to the ongoing enhancement and evolution of the electrical I&C discipline within Digital Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute designs for Electrical Control, Industrial Communications, and SCADA systems projects.
  • Exhibit continuous technical engineering proficiency and professional growth, while leading quality assurance initiatives.
  • Develop and sustain business lines through the provision of electrical instrumentation and controls engineering services, as well as Jacobs' broader offerings.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Tertiary Degree with comprehensive knowledge of applicable Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls standards and design practices.
  • Proficient in supervising and executing designs for Electrical Control, Industrial Communications, and SCADA systems projects.
  • Experience in one or more major infrastructure sectors, including Water, Power, Renewables, Rail, and Resources.
  • Proven experience in leading teams to develop EI&C designs.
  • Desirable experience in crafting proposals for complex infrastructure clients.
  • Ability to engage with both internal and external clients to create a pipeline of opportunities and future workload.
  • Experience with Sydney Water or in the Power sector is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) is advantageous.
  • Eligibility for Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Australia is preferred.
