About the role

The Collection and Asset Recovery Specialist will be responsible for recovering funds and assets from our merchants. This involves contacting customers regarding failed billing, processing banking requests, recovering assets, handling incoming enquiries, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize our assets in cases of liquidation or administration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handling inbound technical service and support requests
- High volumes of outbound activity, following up on suspended accounts, negotiating mutually beneficial arrangements for payment and finalizing repayment of debts
- Processing banking requests, default listings and fee write-offs, and other ad hoc administrative tasks
- Addressing deregistered ACNs, defining the current state of the business, and updating internal systems as required
- Actioning garnishee orders, explaining obligations to our merchants and accommodating their circumstances
- Managing at-risk merchants with our credit loans team and working with fraud and payments risk to mitigate incidents
- Contributing to risk identification, standard operating procedures, and process improvement
