About PropertyVAULT

Property theft in Australia is a serious and growing problem, costing the community over $2 billion dollars each year – disrupting life for property owners, diverting valuable police resources, and adding to the rising cost of insurance for us all.

PropertyVAULT is Australia's only dedicated national service focused on recovering stolen property - and our mission is to reverse the scourge of property crime in Australia.

Founded and staffed by former police detectives and based on a sophisticated technology platform with over 1 million assets listed and over 100,000 user views per month - PropertyVAULT helps owners get their property back, while helping insurers recover paid-out stolen assets and reduce claims fraud & leakage.

Based on Sydney's Northern Beaches, this dynamic technology and services business is growing fast – with multiple projects recently secured with leading insures driving the growth of the business and the need for this role.

About the Role

As an Asset Recovery & Data Specialist with PropertyVAULT, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every stolen asset on the portal is complete, accurate, and recovery-ready - as well as working with investigators and law enforcement to recover stolen property.

From uploading and managing stolen asset listings, to liaising with investigators and police to help facilitate recoveries - this unique role combines data analysis with investigative work – to make for a truly fascinating and meaningful role that is never dull

If you're detail-oriented, proactive, confident and curious by nature - you'll thrive at PropertyVAULT. And as we grow, so can you – with exceptional opportunities to develop your career and share in the success of the business.

You'll also have the satisfaction of helping reunite owners with their stolen property, and in doing so, make a real impact on crime, insurance fraud, and community safety across Australia.

This progressive and fast-growing business also provides fantastic lifestyle opportunities - being based at PropertyVAULT's state-of-the-art Sydney Northern Beaches headquarters, as well as offering the potential for hybrid and possibly part-time working options, depending on candidate and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uploading and managing stolen asset records on the PropertyVAULT portal - reviewing each listing to ensure all information is correctly entered, structured and formatted.
  • Analysing each asset for recoverability and other factors, before approving asset listings to 'live' status on the PropertyVAULT portal (publicly searchable).
  • Identifying stolen assets that may have been recovered, working with investigators, police and other parties to confirm their status, and assist with asset recovery.
  • Working with PropertyVAULT's insurance partners to coordinate data entry and management, assist with onboarding and training, and resolving any issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality, with the ability to analyse large datasets, identify potential issues and ensure data is correct.
  • Highly organised - with the ability to manage own workload, as well as managing multiple tasks and priorities at once.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skillsare essential, as is the ability to approach new people with confidence and appropriate assertiveness - when required.
  • Problem-solving mindset that loves a challenge, likes to get to the bottom of things, and can work through problems with positivity and perseverance to get the job done.
  • Positive, self-motivated and 'can-do' mindset – with a positive outlook on life and a friendly disposition. Team-player focused on the bigger picture where everyone wins.
  • A high degree of confidence with MS-Excel (spreadsheets) and office productivity tools is essential. Advanced Excel and database skills (e.g. writing macros and tables) will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with CRM, case management, workflow, image search tools and business use of social media platforms (e.g. Facebook) will all be highly regarded.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Secondary qualifications at a minimum. Undergraduate or TAFE qualifications desirable but not essential.
  • Work experience in law enforcement, investigations, insurance claims, case management, paralegal, call centres or data processing - are all highly desirable.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be currently living in Sydney. Applicants based in or an easy commute to Sydney's Northern Beaches will be favourably regarded for logistical reasons.
