Transportation Services Manager

As a pivotal member of our operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless and efficient transportation services. This includes coordinating and supervising daily operational activities to guarantee safe, punctual, and customer-focused services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations including fleet management, maintenance, safety protocols, personnel supervision, and contractor coordination.
  • Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support and engage with drivers and staff, ensuring rosters, pay queries, and workplace concerns are managed promptly and fairly.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., fatigue management, fitness for work).
  • Lead and support investigations, assessments, and driver evaluations.
  • Monitor and improve operational performance through registers, compliance checks, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, pre-starts, and clear communication of company updates and policies.
Requirements
  • MR license with passenger accreditation (Driver Authority).
  • Completion of Chain of Responsibility; Driver and Scheduler course for effective fatigue management strategies (or ability to obtain).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Logistics or Transport disciplines or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Coach Transport Industry Experience in administrative, logistics, or transport roles highly regarded.
  • Experience with Distinctive Systems (Coach Manager) or similar scheduling software desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively written and verbally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, coach, and mentor high-performing teams to ensure employee engagement maintained and enhanced where possible.
