Delivering high-quality quarry products to various mine sites and locations across the Bowen Basin is a critical task. A Haulage Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing a team of drivers and subcontractors.

The Job:

This position involves coordinating scheduling, truck allocation, and delivery logistics. The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of professionals, manage workforce and contractor relationships, and oversee maintenance and compliance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fleet Management: Coordinate scheduling, truck allocation, and delivery coordination to ensure efficient transportation of quarry products.
  • Workforce Development: Lead and mentor a team of drivers and subcontractors to achieve business objectives.
  • Recruitment: Assist in hiring new drivers and contribute to their onboarding process.
  • Maintenance and Compliance: Organize regular servicing and repairs for company vehicles while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Customer Relationships: Foster strong client relationships and deliver results that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years in haulage management or logistics.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate and develop teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of NHVR regulations, fatigue management, and heavy vehicle compliance.
  • Fleet Expertise: Experience managing truck schedules, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Qualifications: S11, Coal Board Medical, S123 (highly desired), MC Driver's Licence (highly desired).
  • Safety Focus: Unwavering commitment to safety and compliance within the workplace.
  • Screening Requirements: Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
