Operational Excellence Specialist

The successful Operational Excellence Specialist plays a pivotal role in guaranteeing the secure, efficient, and compliant operation of our mine complex. This position is accountable for coordinating real-time load and haul activities to maximize fleet utilization and maintain production targets.

  • Monitor and operate advanced systems (FMS Hexagon MineOPs, SCADA, load & haul) to optimize performance.
  • Oversee production activities across excavators, trucks, and dozers, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Respond promptly to equipment alerts or faults, minimizing downtime.
  • Support incident response and adhere to emergency protocols.
  • Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Tech Services, and CHPP teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ensure smooth shift handovers, prioritize tasks, and maintain clear communication.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Supervisors and Production Coordinators.
  • Record and report production data, equipment usage, and downtime accurately.
  • Produce comprehensive shift and performance reports.
  • Maintain and update mine control systems with critical data, driving informed decision-making.
