Job Title: Payroll Services Officer

The Role:

This role is responsible for coordinating the payroll function, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process fortnightly payroll with assistance from the payroll team.
  • Reconcile and authorise fortnightly pays, ensuring EFT payments are processed in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with management and employees regarding pay enquiries.
  • Process and reconcile payroll month end.
  • Prepare month end reports and statistical information and update payroll data for board report.
  • End of year processing.
  • Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to pay entitlements.
  • Processing pay increases and calculation of back pays.
Requirements:

To thrive in this role you will need:

  • 3 to 5 years' experience coordinating payroll in a medium to large organisation.
  • Ability to manage and understand internal payroll processes.
  • Experience with industrial awards and agreements, relevant legislation and contemporary employee relations legislation.
  • Demonstrated computerised payroll experience, preferably in PayGlobal.
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills, including word processing, spreadsheeting and report writing skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Current NSW drivers licence.
