The Role:
This role is responsible for coordinating the payroll function, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:- Process fortnightly payroll with assistance from the payroll team.
- Reconcile and authorise fortnightly pays, ensuring EFT payments are processed in a timely manner.
- Liaise with management and employees regarding pay enquiries.
- Process and reconcile payroll month end.
- Prepare month end reports and statistical information and update payroll data for board report.
- End of year processing.
- Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to pay entitlements.
- Processing pay increases and calculation of back pays.
To thrive in this role you will need:
- 3 to 5 years' experience coordinating payroll in a medium to large organisation.
- Ability to manage and understand internal payroll processes.
- Experience with industrial awards and agreements, relevant legislation and contemporary employee relations legislation.
- Demonstrated computerised payroll experience, preferably in PayGlobal.
- Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills, including word processing, spreadsheeting and report writing skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
- Ability to work as an effective team member.
- Current NSW drivers licence.
