The role of Senior Payroll Officer is a critical position that involves the end-to-end processing of payroll for over 1,200 employees on a weekly and fortnightly basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process payroll for multiple entities/states by analyzing complex remuneration packages and ensuring compliance with relevant awards and regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee records on payroll systems to ensure accurate payment and benefits administration.
  • Interpret and implement changes to awards, allowances, bonuses, commissions, salary sacrifice, and fringe benefits to ensure fairness and equity in remuneration.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a senior payroll capacity and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with iChris/Chirs21 and/or Employment Hero would be advantageous.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of end-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Ability to interpret awards and stay abreast of any changes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with complex payroll environments (e.g., multiple awards, shiftwork, penalties, overtime)
