**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team at Respect Aged Care, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep of our facilities and equipment.

**Job Summary**

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and coordinating an efficient maintenance program, monitoring and evaluating its effectiveness, and maintaining accurate records. This includes assisting with asset management, contributing to refurbishment and capital works planning, identifying preventative maintenance requirements, and overseeing external contract agreements.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in maintaining an up-to-date asset register and contribute to refurbishment and capital works planning.
  • Identify and document preventative maintenance requirements and schedule same.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance and corrective action according to legal requirements and documented schedule.
  • Oversee external contract agreements and maintain records of the maintenance program.
  • Maintain neat, tidy, and safe grounds, including watering, and ensure high quality standards in resident rooms and public areas.

**Requirements**

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • General maintenance and gardening skills.
  • A current Driver's License.
  • A current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • Knowledge or experience in establishing and coordinating a maintenance program.
  • Experience in maintenance and horticulture management.
  • An accredited trade certificate relevant to the position.
  • Experience in residential aged care or similar business.
