About the Role

This position plays a vital role in ensuring the City's infrastructure is well-maintained, safe, and efficient. As an Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist, you will have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of tasks and activities while receiving valuable on and off-the-job training.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating plant and machinery, assisting with the construction and maintenance of council's infrastructure, undertaking asphalting works, concreting duties, and understanding and implementing traffic management plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate plant and machinery in accordance with operations manuals, workshop standing instructions, and directions from management staff.
  • Assist with the construction and maintenance of council's infrastructure.
  • Undertake asphalting works, including road paver operations.
  • Undertake concreting duties, including formwork and finishing.
  • Understand and interpret traffic management plans and implement them as required.
  • Be an effective member of the work team and maintain responsibility for the quality of your own work.
