About Maincom Services

Maincom Services is a reputable mid-tier builder with a strong portfolio of projects in both residential and commercial building construction.

We are seeking an experienced Building Estimator to join our team, focusing on supervising and estimating works, coordinating and managing trades during the construction process across the greater Melbourne region.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Assessing and supervising/estimating works/projects
  2. Programming and coordination of sub-contractors and suppliers
  3. Report writing and repair scope development
  4. Managing projects with multiple trades
  5. Completing reports on behalf of insurance companies
  6. Developing strong relationships with trades, support staff, and stakeholders
  7. Ensuring WHS compliance on building sites

This role is based in our office, where you will work closely with our team to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. A trade qualification in carpentry or building or other equivalent qualification
  2. Experience in mid-tier residential and commercial construction projects ($20K-$500K)
  3. Demonstrated experience in estimating works and project management with the ability to motivate and manage sub-contract labour and suppliers
  4. Ability to write reports and develop repair scopes
  5. High level of organisational and time management skills
  6. Can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
  7. Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
  8. Experience in WH&S and good customer service skills
  9. Superior computer literacy
