We are seeking an experienced Estimating Professional to join our Project Estimating team at Rexel Australia, a leading electrical wholesale business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing accurate, competitive, and timely project pricing on all project opportunities through a systematic and considered process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Effectively read and evaluate customers' requests and create quotes that are presented professionally and on time.
  2. Read and check lighting specifications to ensure they are in sync with layout and application on drawings.
  3. Interact with customers and suppliers if inconsistencies in specifications and drawings are discovered to seek a successful outcome.
  4. Build relationships with manufacturers and Sales Representatives to produce competitive and timely pricing.
  5. Collaborate with management to determine cost and sell amounts to maintain and optimise margins.
  6. Increase overall project conversion rate in line with department goals.
  7. Check the specifications and quantities against the order after successful acquisition of the project.
  8. 100% use of CRM to manage opportunity activities.

Requirements:

  1. Experienced estimator with extensive hands-on experience.
  2. Electrical wholesaling, trades, or building/construction industry experience, with any associated qualifications highly regarded but not essential.
  3. Proficient in MS Excel & Project (Intermediate to Advanced level).
  4. Passionate about customer service and engagement.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Ability to multitask and highly organized with attention to detail.
  7. Strong business acumen, with the ability to think outside of the square.
  8. Ability to work autonomously and set goals.
