We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team at North West Mining & Civil Pty Ltd. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing quotes and tenders for our clients, ensuring that our bids are accurate, comprehensive, and competitive.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of Quotations and Tenders: Analyze detailed scopes of works, specifications, and drawings to prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including labor, materials, freight, plant, and equipment.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and manage junior estimators, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all bids.
- Communication and Coordination: Communicate with Project Managers to provide information on scope of works for tenders and quotes.
- Supplier Management: Review supplier quotations for each part of the tender or quote, ensuring that pricing covers all aspects of the scope of works and is competitive.
- Tender Documentation: Work closely with the Estimating Manager to prepare tender documentation and tender submissions in a timely manner.
- Subcontractor and Supplier Identification: Identify qualified subcontractors and suppliers, providing necessary information for them to supply detailed quotations in accordance with the scope of works.
- Experience: Demonstrated 3 years' experience in an estimating role.
- Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge of construction, building, and civil processes.
- Software Skills: Knowledge in Expert Estimation Software would be beneficial, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
- Time Management: Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
- Contract Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of construction and civil contracts.
