Electricity Market Solutions Manager

Job Description
Role Summary:This leadership position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and applications that support critical business capabilities in the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) and WA Gas Systems Information (GSI).
Main Responsibilities:- Servicing Agreements: Ensure all IT systems and applications operate within agreed service level agreements.
- Maintenance and Operations: Implement all critical maintenance tasks and projects, ensuring high availability, security, and stability.
- Efficient Ways of Working: Drive the creation and establishment of efficient 'ways of working' to ensure cost-effective, efficient, and scalable delivery.
- Change Management: Assist in driving change, promoting cross-departmental activities, and championing corporate roll-outs/programs.
- Strategic Advice: Provide strategic advice and direction to management on AEMO's Technology functions covering operational matters, strategies, and efficiencies.
- Ledership Experience: Significant experience in a technology team leadership capacity managing multiple, large, cross-functional operational teams or projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Good knowledge of practices and principles associated with the operation of gas and electricity markets within Australia and internationally.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to strategically negotiate with and manage key third-party outsourced providers.
- Application Development: Strong experience in developing applications solutions to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Transformation: Experience in transforming ways of working to be aligned with product-based team models.
