Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced technology leader to manage our Wholesale Electricity Market Solutions team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology leadership, with experience in managing multiple cross-functional teams or projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems and applications that support our Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) business capabilities.
  • Drive the creation of efficient 'ways of working' to ensure cost-effective, efficient, and scalable delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive change, promote cross-departmental activities, and champion corporate roll-outs/programs.
  • Provide strategic advice and direction to management on technology functions, covering operational matters, strategies, and efficiencies.
  • Manage the applications environment, framework, tools, and processes for the systems managed by the team.
  • Deliver new functionality to the systems managed by the team and provide seamless 24/7 operational support.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in technology leadership, with a track record of managing multiple cross-functional teams or projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the energy industry, including gas and electricity markets within Australia and internationally.
  • Ability to strategically negotiate with third-party providers and manage key relationships.
  • Experience in developing applications solutions to achieve desired business outcomes and leading high-performing technology teams.
