Job Title: Electricity Market Solutions Manager

We are seeking an experienced manager to lead the delivery of our Wholesale Electricity Market solutions. This critical role will ensure the smooth operation of our wholesale electricity market systems and applications.

About the Role:

This is a key leadership position responsible for managing multiple cross-functional teams or projects, influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders, and ensuring all IT systems and applications operate within agreed service level agreements.

  • Drive efficient ways of working to deliver cost-effective, efficient, and scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with the GM Energy Market and Corporate Digital Solutions to drive change, promote cross-departmental activities, and champion corporate roll-outs/programs.
  • Provide strategic advice and direction on operational matters, strategies, and efficiencies.
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will own and manage the applications environment, framework, tools, and processes for the systems managed by the team.

They will be responsible for delivering new functionality to the systems managed by the team and driving seamless 24/7 operational support.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in technology team leadership capacity.
  • Strong experience in the energy industry or similarly highly regulated industry.
  • Good knowledge of gas and electricity markets practices and principles.
  • Ability to strategically negotiate with third-party outsourced providers.
  • Experience in transforming ways of working to align with product-based team models.
