Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Energy Market Solutions Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership group, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) systems and applications.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Ensure high availability, security, and stability of all IT systems and applications.
    • Drive the development of efficient 'ways of working' to ensure cost-effective and scalable delivery.
    • Collaborate with senior-level management and key stakeholders to drive change and promote cross-departmental activities.
    • Provide strategic advice and direction to Management on AEMO's Technology functions.
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in technology team leadership.
  • A strong background in the energy industry or similarly regulated industries.
  • Good knowledge of practices and principles associated with gas and electricity markets within Australia and internationally.
  • The ability to strategically negotiate with third-party outsourced providers.
