About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
  • Monitor construction progress for adherence to program and report to the Works Planning Manager.
  • Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects.
  • Contribute to improvements to existing designs.
  • Assist in the review of project budgets and ongoing expenses to ensure Financial Control remains within the acceptable limits of the budget at all stages of the project.
  • Understand the Client's requirements in relation to all Project Plans, Document Control procedures, and QA/Environmental requirements in order to meet or exceed their expectations at all times.
  • Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project.
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment, and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
  • Analyze and use document and record management, progress, and project performance reporting and compliance reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, building construction, or equivalent.
  • Diploma of Project Management in engineering, science, building, construction, or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineering Status.
  • Minimum 5-10 years' engineering experience.
  • Experience on > $10 M Projects.
  • Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards, and implications for project accountabilities.
