We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Horse Trainer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for training and educating young horses on the ground.

Responsibilities:
  • Train and educate young horses on the ground
  • Oversee the care and management of a team and barn of horses
  • Assist with all aspects of horse training and preparation

To be successful in this role, applicants must have a minimum of 3 years equivalent full-time professional experience in horse training or a relevant qualification.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Expertise in horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing
  • A proven track record of successfully training and educating horses
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
  • Knowledge of safe operating procedures and personal protective equipment requirements
  • A sound understanding of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe equipment operation
  • Desirable: A Certificate III in Equine Training or an equivalent international qualification
