Rombola Family Farms Pty Ltd is a leading agricultural enterprise with over 4,000 hectares of intensive irrigated horticultural production across three locations: Griffith (NSW), Bundaberg (QLD), and Mataranka (NT). Our diverse operations include primary production, processing, value adding, and marketing.

Key to our success is the maintenance and operation of our extensive fleet of farm machinery. We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Griffith, NSW, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repairs and be able to work independently, troubleshooting problems quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on all farm equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
  • Repair and replace faulty parts
  • Perform routine servicing and oil changes
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Experience working as a diesel mechanic, preferably with farm equipment
  • A strong understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to working with heavy equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • A willingness to work flexible hours during peak periods

In terms of compensation, we estimate that the salary for this position will be around $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
