Rombola Family Farms is a leading horticultural production company with operations in Griffith (NSW), Bundaberg (QLD) and Mataranka (NT). Our agricultural enterprises include Seedless Watermelon, Rockmelons, Broccoli, Pumpkin, Almonds and Winegrapes.
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Machinery Technician to join our team in Griffith, NSW. The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager and play a key role in ensuring that farm machinery is running smoothly and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Repairs. You should be able to work independently and be able to troubleshoot problems quickly and effectively.
Key operational accountabilities:
- Conducting regular maintenance checks on all farm machinery
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues
- Repairing and replacing faulty parts
- Performing routine servicing and oil changes
- Ensuring all machinery is operating safely and efficiently
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Experience working as a diesel mechanic, preferably with farm machinery.
- A strong understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to working with heavy machinery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- A willingness to work flexible hours during peak periods.
In return we offer an attractive remuneration package based upon relevant qualifications and experience, including a salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
