About Us

Rombola Family Farms is a leading agricultural company in Australia, with operations spanning over 4,000 hectares across NSW, QLD, and NT.

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Griffith, NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our farm machinery, conducting regular maintenance checks, troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues, and performing routine servicing and oil changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular maintenance checks on all farm machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues to minimize downtime and optimize productivity
  • Repairing and replacing faulty parts to maintain equipment reliability and safety
  • Performing routine servicing and oil changes to extend equipment lifespan and prevent breakdowns
  • Ensuring all machinery is operating safely and efficiently to protect personnel and assets

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a diesel mechanic, preferably with farm machinery
  • A strong understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to working with heavy machinery
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • A willingness to work flexible hours during peak periods
