About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Griffith, NSW. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that farm machinery is running smoothly and efficiently, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on all farm equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using technical expertise and problem-solving skills
  • Repair and replace faulty parts as needed, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
  • Perform routine servicing and oil changes to extend equipment lifespan
  • Ensure all machinery is operating safely and efficiently, with a strong focus on workplace health and safety
Requirements
  • A strong background in Mechanical Repairs, preferably with experience working with farm equipment
  • Excellent understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to working with heavy machinery
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and independently
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management
