Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Agricultural Technician to join our team in Griffith, NSW. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in supporting our farming activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough examinations of farm fields to determine optimal land use and identify nutrient deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with our research team to develop innovative methods for planting, fertilizing, harvesting, and processing crops.
  • Identify and mitigate the impact of pathogenic micro-organisms, insects, parasites, fungi, and weeds on our crops.
  • Analyze produce to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Assist in controlled breeding experiments to develop improved crop varieties.
  • Manage the supply of chemicals and provide guidance on their safe use.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform research and development initiatives.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of harvesting and production processes.
  • Assign tasks to personnel and ensure effective team collaboration.
  • Communicate concerns and ideas to management.
Requirements
  • At least three years of experience and a formal qualification in agricultural science or technology.
  • Proficiency in manual and/or computerized systems.
  • Ability to read, understand, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and initiative.
  • Strong team player with flexibility in working hours.
  • A current driver's license.
