Role Overview
">The role of a Payroll Coordinator at Budage Pty Limited is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll for all personnel nationally. This involves interpreting timesheets, leave accrual reconciliation, termination calculations, payroll tax, superannuation, and other payroll calculations.
Main Responsibilities
- ">
- Process payroll fortnightly, reconcile, and submit bank files in accordance with regulatory requirements.">
- Develop a working understanding of payroll software, specifically Workday or Ichris/Chris 21 (advantageous but not required).">
- Interpret the Legal Services Award (LSA) to process timesheets, including overtime, paralegals, casuals, and consultants.">
- Process staff movements, such as new starters, departures, and other changes.">
- Process bonuses and salary sacrifice requests, ensuring payments are made accurately and in-line with ATO calculation methods.">
- Understand various leave types, apply firm policies, and reconcile accruals with leave takes.">
- Develop an understanding of Long Service Leave and its application in different states.">
- Obtain a working understanding of redundancy calculations.">
- Calculate fortnightly payroll processes in Ichris, preparing PAYG and Superannuation payments, and submitting Single Touch Payroll (STP) files to the ATO.">
- Prepare manual payments when necessary.">
- Respond to customer queries via face-to-face interaction, telephone, and email.">
- Assist the Finance team on queries and reports, including general ledger journals, payroll reporting, expense reimbursements, and salary sacrifice arrangements.">
- Possess knowledge in STP phase 2.">
Requirements
- ">
- 2-3 years prior experience in a similar payroll position.">
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.">
- Effective communication skills to deal with key stakeholders, clients, and external organisations.">
- Attention to detail, willingness to take on tasks, and flexibility to work extended hours to meet business objectives.">
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, sharing knowledge and collaborating to achieve objectives.">
