Senior Payroll Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Compliance Specialist to join our team at the University of New South Wales. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that our payroll processes meet the highest standards of compliance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of payroll compliance specialists to provide timely and accurate operational support to the Quality & Compliance team and Remediation and Pay Confidence Streams.
- Develop and implement strategic and operational payroll compliance strategies to ensure the university meets its obligations with applicable regulations and legislation.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of payroll processes and procedures to identify potential compliance issues and make recommendations for improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship and have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a complex payroll role in a large organisation. You will also have high knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements, as well as proficiency in using payroll systems and software such as Peoplesoft.
