Responsibilities
Lead the development, delivery, and marketing of tourism initiatives that strengthen the region's position as a premier visitor destination.
Identify, plan, and implement tourism projects and programs, ensuring high quality delivery aligned with Council's long-term vision.
Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, from local tourism operators and businesses to community groups and government agencies, to build collaborative partnerships that drive shared outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven leadership experience in tourism, marketing, or regional development, with the ability to mentor and guide a team in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Strong knowledge of the tourism industry, including regional marketing, visitor experience, and product development, and the ability to apply relevant strategies and policies to practical outcomes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the capacity to resolve complex issues and build strong partnerships.
Tertiary qualifications in tourism, marketing, events, economic development, or a related field; substantial experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
