Building Asset Specialist Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Management: Developing and implementing comprehensive asset management plans for all Council-owned buildings, conducting regular inspections and assessments, and maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Capital Projects: Developing asset capital works programs and assisting in planning and executing capital improvement projects.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensuring all building assets comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, and implementing risk management strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with internal departments, community groups, and external contractors, providing expert advice, and facilitating community consultations and feedback sessions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualifications in Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in building asset management or facilities management.
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles and practices.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in asset management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
