About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our mixed-use property portfolio in Sydney's East. This is a full-time role where you will work closely with owners, tenants, and service providers to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of all buildings under your care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage building operations and maintenance – Coordinate repairs, renovations, and improvements while ensuring assets are kept in excellent condition.
- Oversee contractors and service providers – Monitor performance, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain a high level of service delivery.
- Tenant relations – Act as the primary liaison for tenants, responding to enquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining strong relationships.
- Budget management – Prepare and monitor budgets, track expenses, and ensure operating costs are well-managed.
- Compliance and safety – Implement and enforce building policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe, compliant environment.
- Reporting – Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports for property owners on building performance and maintenance activities.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Building Manager or in a similar property management role.
- Candidate who has construction background or knowledge is preferred.
- Strong understanding of building maintenance, compliance requirements, and tenant management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in property management systems, MS Office, and related software.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise tasks under pressure.
- A valid driver's licence and flexibility to travel between sites as required.
