About the Job

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Building Asset Manager. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the management of our building assets, including depots, offices, community centres, sporting facilities, commercial premises, restaurants, kiosks and a function centre.

The ideal candidate will have strong asset management, project management and negotiation skills. You will be a self-motivated individual with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

The job requires you to oversee a range of Council's assets, prepare asset management plans and conduct regular building maintenance inspections. You will also be responsible for managing capital works projects, including tendering, and developing sustainable building practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Council's building assets, including depots, offices, community centres, sporting facilities, commercial premises, restaurants, kiosks and a function centre.
  • Prepare asset management plans and conduct regular building maintenance inspections.
  • Manage capital works projects, including tendering.
  • Develop and implement sustainable building practices.
  • Manage stakeholders and contractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide high-level report writing skills and demonstrate negotiation and consultation skills.
  • Experience in budget planning and cost control is essential.
  • A Class C Driver's Licence is required.
