Compliance Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory, legal, and industry compliance risks across sales, installation, and internal operations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies aligned with Australian laws and solar industry regulations
  • Ensure compliance with Clean Energy Council guidelines, state rebate programs, Australian Consumer Law, WHS laws, licensing, finance, and data privacy requirements
  • Monitor regulatory developments and update practices and documentation accordingly

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing contractor and installer compliance, identifying and managing key operational and regulatory risks, embedding controls to minimize exposure. They will communicate significant compliance and operational risks to executive leadership and deliver compliance training and regulatory updates across departments.

About the Role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Law, Commerce, or a related field
  • Experience in a compliance-focused role, demonstrating success in integrating compliance with business strategy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight & Risk Management: Oversee contractor and installer compliance, identify and manage key operational and regulatory risks, embed controls to minimize exposure
  • Communicate significant compliance and operational risks to executive leadership
  • Deliver compliance training and regulatory updates across departments
  • Conduct WHS audits, incident reporting, and risk assessments for offices and warehouses
  • Lead and oversee investigations into non-compliance or incidents; recommend and track remedial actions
  • Training, Audits & Investigations: Manage compliance integration into operational platforms and systems, implement and refine systems to support compliance performance and culture
  • Customer & Market Conduct: Review marketing and sales materials for accuracy, ethics, and CEC alignment, safeguard transparency in customer agreements
  • Track and resolve customer complaints related to sales conduct
