**Job Title:** Senior Accountant

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys client engagement, problem-solving, and working across a broad range of businesses. As a senior accountant, you will be responsible for managing a diverse client portfolio and tackling various technical and strategic challenges.

  • Preparing and reviewing tax returns and financial statements for a wide range of entities, including large and audited businesses
  • Preparing and reviewing BAS, GST, and FBT returns
  • Advising clients on general accounting and taxation matters
Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our business advisory team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on financial reporting and taxation matters to clients
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with other team members to deliver high-quality services to clients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree in Commerce, Accounting, or similar
  • At least 3 years' experience in Australian public practice accounting
  • CA or CPA qualification (completed)
  • Strong understanding of tax technical issues within a business advisory context
  • Confident communicator with experience in face-to-face client interactions
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • A team player who enjoys mentoring junior staff
