Position Overview

The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the People & Insurance Manager, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) is pivotal in driving strategic HR initiatives. Collaborating closely with the People & Culture leadership team, the HRBP ensures that all People & Culture matters align seamlessly with business objectives. This role is designed to provide essential expertise and support to stakeholders, aiming to mitigate employment-related concerns and disputes. The HRBP will utilize their knowledge to assist stakeholders across various aspects of employment relations and industrial relations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver strategic and operational guidance within the People & Culture domain to fulfill business requirements.
  2. Engage with the business in organizational discussions, offering alternative solutions to align HR and business strategies.
  3. Provide ongoing strategic advice on employee relations, dispute resolution, and industrial advocacy, including the management of ER/IR cases.
  4. Conduct thorough investigations, ensuring compliance with legislation, due process, and fairness, while being accountable for the outcomes.
  5. Act as a representative for the business in dealings with unions and other external entities as necessary.
  6. Maintain and enhance People & Culture policies and procedures, offering recommendations for improvement.
  7. Guide and support Managers in addressing staff performance issues.

This position necessitates regular site visits related to People & Culture, which may involve occasional interstate travel.

Qualifications and Skills

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field

• At least 1 year of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Advisor, or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management platforms

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks

• Comprehensive understanding of HR legislation and awards

• Insight into people-related challenges within the organization.
