The Role:
Reporting directly to the People & Insurance Manager of the Glad Group of Companies, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) is pivotal in driving strategic HR initiatives. Collaborating closely with the People & Culture leadership team, the HRBP ensures cohesive alignment across the organization on all matters related to People & Culture. This role involves providing essential expertise and support to stakeholders, aiming to mitigate employment-related concerns and disputes. The HRBP will utilize their knowledge to assist stakeholders in various aspects of employment relations and industrial relations.
- Deliver expert guidance to shape strategic and operational advice within the People & Culture domain to align with business objectives.
- Engage with the business in organizational discussions, proposing alternatives to ensure alignment between HR and business strategies.
- Offer strategic counsel and ongoing support regarding employee relations, dispute resolution, and industrial advocacy, including the management of ER/IR cases.
- Conduct thorough investigations to ensure compliance with legislation, due process, and fairness, taking accountability for the outcomes.
- Represent the organization in dealings with unions and other external entities as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date and forward-thinking People & Culture policies and procedures, providing recommendations for enhancements.
- Guide and assist Managers in addressing staff performance issues.
This position necessitates regular site visits related to People & Culture, which may involve occasional interstate travel.
Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout You:
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Advisor, or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Comprehensive understanding of HR legislation and awards
• Insightful understanding of people-related challenges within the organization.
