About the Role:

  • Coordinate and manage workers' compensation cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Liaise with employees, managers, medical providers, and agents to develop and implement return-to-work strategies.
  • Manage compensation payments, PIAWE, and payroll reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate case files, injury management plans, and documentation, adhering to legislative requirements and organisational policies.
  • Provide expert advice and support to leaders managing injured or ill employees, promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing.
  • Participate in incident investigations, quality and safety walks, and workplace risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Report on injury trends, claims performance, and safety statistics to inform data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in injury management, return-to-work coordination, or workers' compensation case management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting to measure the success of injury prevention initiatives.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting people through recovery.
  • Certificate IV in Cert IV Personal Injury Management (Return to Work) or equivalent desirable.
  • Return to Work Coordinator certification or equivalent desirable.
