We're seeking a skilled journalist to contribute to our Arabic TV News Bulletin, running Monday to Friday. This role will involve working with the Executive Producer to identify, arrange, and report on news content relevant to our audience.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and gather information for news stories
- Write and edit news scripts to a high standard
- Conduct interviews with sources and experts
- Report live from news events
- Collaborate with other journalists and production team members
We're looking for someone with:
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and broadcast standard Arabic
- Demonstrated understanding of the Arabic-speaking community in Australia
- Experience in journalism, with a focus on broadcast reporting
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, email, and digital media editing/production software
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Capacity to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
