Senior Behavioural Specialist

About this Role
This position involves providing evidence-based assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for mental health disorders and other systemic barriers preventing clients from entering employment or beginning study.
You will support customers to address non-vocational barriers and develop skills and job readiness. The role may involve delivering training relevant to the field and consultancy with service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ strategies to effectively resolve conflict;
- Demonstrate understanding of available mental health and other support services;
- Provide individual therapy, group therapy, and case management;
- Analyse issues related to psychological care in quality activities, service evaluation, or research;
- Demonstrate knowledge of the local labour market;
- Work with culturally diverse people;
- Understand barriers to employment for disadvantaged individuals and communities;
- Apply case management frameworks;
- Adhere to workplace health and safety responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Hold a current driver's licence;
- Have a Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counselling;
- Be registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for Social Workers (SA staff only).
