About this Role

This position involves providing evidence-based assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for mental health disorders and other systemic barriers preventing clients from entering employment or beginning study.

You will support customers to address non-vocational barriers and develop skills and job readiness. The role may involve delivering training relevant to the field and consultancy with service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ strategies to effectively resolve conflict;
  • Demonstrate understanding of available mental health and other support services;
  • Provide individual therapy, group therapy, and case management;
  • Analyse issues related to psychological care in quality activities, service evaluation, or research;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the local labour market;
  • Work with culturally diverse people;
  • Understand barriers to employment for disadvantaged individuals and communities;
  • Apply case management frameworks;
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current driver's licence;
  • Have a Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counselling;
  • Be registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for Social Workers (SA staff only).
