
Support Specialist

As a qualified Child and Family Support Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing of children and young people.
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about working with families experiencing complex needs, including family and domestic violence, and trauma-informed practice. You will work within our Therapeutic Framework, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based services that promote safety, wellbeing and development for children and their families.
- Provide trauma-informed support to children, young people, and families, including assessment, case planning, and therapeutic interventions.
- Offer early intervention and family support that promotes child development, healthy attachment, protective behaviours, and life skills.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety planning for clients affected by family and domestic violence and provide outreach services as required.
Key requirements include:
Selection Criteria- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Counselling, Childhood Development, or related field.
- At least 3 years' experience providing child support and working with families experiencing complex needs, including family and domestic violence.
- Demonstrated experience in case management, intake, assessment, and referral.
- Current National Police Certificate (within 12 months validity).
- Valid WA Working with Children Card.
