
Senior Counterparty Risk Manager

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Counterparty Exposure (CPE) team, working under the global Institutional Credit Management (ICM) group. Their primary responsibility will be to measure, monitor and control counterparty risk for institutional clients.
This involves analyzing portfolios and businesses, focusing on counter-party and collateral risk to ensure risks are properly measured and controlled in accordance with the firm's risk policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Approve credit reviews as a first line of defense approver, including assessment of portfolio risk, liquidity of client positions, credit limits and risk appetite ratios for APAC Real Money Funds.
- Maintain and manage credit exposures to clients across derivatives, financing and direct lending products.
- Advise and approve large transactions or deals that require individual risk assessment.
- Collaborate with Risk colleagues on risk mitigation at both inception of transactions and on an ongoing basis.
- Experience with funds underwriting.
- Experience with managing market or credit risk and training in finance, mathematics or quantitative fields.
- More than 12 years credit risk experience, preferably gained at a major financial institution.
- Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and a demonstrated aptitude for tackling issues.
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams from Business, Credit, Operations and Compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound risk and business judgment.
