Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Navigation Expert to provide Navigation expertise during the development and delivery of training to Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Officers of the Watch. The successful candidate will work in a small but focussed team, utilising their specialist experience to deliver high-quality training output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for RAN Officers of the Watch
  • Provide Navigation expertise to support the development of training content
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of navigation systems and procedures
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of training materials and assessments

Requirements:

  • Platform Endorsement and Bridge Watchkeeping Certificate on any major/minor warship
  • Proven experience as a Navigator or Principal Warfare Officer
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with training development methodologies and adult learning principles
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

Working Arrangements:

  • Multiple roles available based in Sydney, NSW or Perth, WA
